The Zilberfeld Collection, authored by Rabbi Eliezer Zilberfeld of Lvov during the mid-twentieth century, constitutes a valuable compendium of narratives, anecdotes, and historical accounts composed in both Yiddish and Hebrew. The collection comprises an extensive range of Hasidic tales, aphorisms, and Torah discourses—some succinct, others more expansive—pertaining to prominent and lesser-known rebbes, pious individuals, Torah scholars, and Hasidim associated with the courts of Galicia, Poland, and Hungary. The material was gathered primarily through oral transmission and is grounded in firsthand testimonies recounted to Rabbi Zilberfeld, frequently accompanied by source attribution and, in certain cases, presented in the first person.
